PURPOSE:To attain consecutive processing between image sensors by reading a black data while using the mode reading a black signal for offset processing. CONSTITUTION:An original scanning unit is moved to a position of a black plate having a uniform density arranged at a non-image region at the tip of an original platen prior to the copying operation and a halogen lamp is lighted to input a image signal to a black correction circuit. The black signal Bi is sent in the order of data line 551 552 553, while an output of an address counter 84 initialized by an address input inverted HSYNC of a RAM 78 is inputted to the RAM 78, a black reference mode is attained and the black signal Bi is fetched in the RAM 78. Since a fetched black level data is very minute and subjected to noise effect, the data is subject to a linear filtering processing to eliminate the noise and it is used as a data to attain consecutive processing between image sensors.
