PURPOSE:To insert a probe in the body cavity, by providing a far infrared ray emitting part, which is constituted of a heating part and a ceramic fiber emitting far infrared rays upon the reception of the heat from the heating part, to the probe to be inserted in the body cavity. CONSTITUTION:For example, a probe 1 is formed by bonding and fixing a leading end part 3 to the leading end of a long outer skin 2 formed from a flexible tube having a fine diameter composed of Teflon or silicone, and a heater 4 composed of an electric heating wire such as a nichrome wire and a far infrared ray emitting part 5 are arranged to the leading end of the probe 1. The far infrared ray emitting part 5 is formed by mixing a resin such as nylon or polyvinyl chloride with far infrared ray emitting ceramic such as Al2O3 or ZrO2 and forming the resulting mixture into a fiber which is, in turn, wound around the outer peripheral part of the outer skin immediately behind the leading end part 3 and flexibility is imparted to the far infrared ray emitting wire 5 by this structure. By supplying a current to the heater 4 from a current supply part 10, the far infrared ray emitting part 5 is heated. By this constitution, the probe 1 can be smoothly inserted even into a complicatedly deformed pipe cavity passage.
