PURPOSE:To correct the alignment dislocation due to a temperature change by selecting the distance between the shafts of a guide rail protruded from a carriage to hold a magnetic head and a lead screw protruded from a stepping motor with the method to fix a driving pin. CONSTITUTION:At a carriage to hold a magnetic head 5, a guide rail 6 in parallel with the bottom surface of the carriage 1 is provided, and a lead screw 3 protruded from a stepping motor 2 is provided in parallel with the rail 6. When constitution is executed like this and a distance L between the central shafts of the central shaft of the screw 3 and the rail 6 is adjusted, two mutually inclined driving pins 4 to penetrate the screw 3 is abutted to the surface protruding part of the carriage 1, these are driven, the distance L between the central shafts of the screw 3 and the rail 6 is made into the prescribed value in a Y direction and the movement in the Y direction of the carriage 1 is also executed. Thus, the distance interval between the carriage 1 and the motor 2 is made into the desired value.
