PURPOSE:To compact two cylinder heads of a V-shaped or horizontal opposed- engine in which plugs are mounted from the cam chamber side and to enable the common use of them, by a method wherein a plug is obliquely disposed so that, as seen from the direction of the axis of a cylinder, the inner end of the plug is positioned close to an exhaust hole, and the outer end thereof is situated approximately in the central part of a cam chain chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a cylinder head 31, two suction holes 41 and 42 and one exhaust hole 43 are formed, and a guide hole 47, a tapped hole 48 for sleeve, and a tapped hole 49 for plug are formed on the cam chain chamber 18b side in a manner to allow their axes 46 to coincide with each other, and a guide hole 52 and a tapped hole 53 for plug are formed on the left side in a manner to allow their axes 51 to coincide with each other so that the plugs are mountable from the side, i.e., the cam chain chamber 18b side and from the left side. This constitution prevents interference of the plug with the stretching and the loosening side of a cam chain, and thus, the cylinder head 31 is compactly sized and is commonly usuable to a front and a rear cylinder. |
