APPARATUS FOR REFINING FRUIT JUICE

PURPOSE:To enable continuous treatment of fruit juice except for extremely short interval necessary for the removal of an ion exchange resin, by placing an ion exchange resin receiving tank and an ion exchange resin supplying tank between a refining column and a regeneration column. CONSTITUTION:An ion exchange resin accumulated to the bottom of a refining column 1 is intermittently and quickly extracted together with fruit juice from the refining column to a receiving tank 4 and only the fruit juice is returned to a stock liquid tank 5 via a line 21 by the pressure of air introduced through a line 20. Water supplied through a line 24 is introduced to the upper part of the receiving tank 4 and the ion exchange resin is transferred to a regeneration column 2 and regenerated. The regenerated ion exchange resin is transferred to a supply tank 3 via a line 18. Water is drained at the inlet part of the supply tank 3 and a part of the fruit juice is introduced as a resin transfer liquid from the refining column 1 via a line 27 with a pump.
