PURPOSE:To improve reliability, by providing a protecting layer comprising a nonmetal inorganic material and activated metal comprising a metal, which is selected from titanium, zirconium and magnesium or a metal of mixed materials of said metals. CONSTITUTION:A high heat-flux receiving apparatus has a protecting layer 1 comprising graphite, an activated layer 2 of titanium, an intermediate layer 3 comprising Invar alloy and base material layer 4 comprising stainless steel. In this case, the Invar alloy forming the intermediate layer is Fe-Ni based two-element alloy. When the quantity of Ni is changed, the thermal expansion coefficient can be arbitrarily changed. Therefore, the expansion coefficient required for the intermediate layer can be selected and set in correspondence with the using conditions. Thus, the activated metal layer increases the activity of bonding interface between the protecting layer, which is nonmetal inorganic material, and the metal layer and makes it possible to perform solid-phase bonding. The intermediate layer buffers the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the protecting layer and the metal layer such as base material layer and prevents the separation of both layers. In this way, the strength of the bonding part is increased, and the apparatus can be made resistant against thermal stress.
