PURPOSE:To prevent an usurpation incident or the like due to the robbery of a card by inputting picture information such as the portrait of the user of the card at the time of using the card and comparing the registered picture information of the possessor of the card with the picture information of the user of the card. CONSTITUTION:In the card 1, as the possessor information, a personal identification number and the registered picture information are respectively stored. At the time of using the card 1, the card 1 is inserted into a card information reading part 2, the reading part 2 reads the registered picture information of the card 1 by a card reader 21 and a code demodulator 22 and demodulates and stores in a picture information memory 23. The portrait of the user of the card is image pickled up on a television camera 31 and stored in a picture information memory 34 as the picture information via an A/D converting circuit 32 and a picture element information conversion circuit 33. Then, the registered picture information stored in the memory 23 is compared with the picture information stored in the memory 34 by a comparison part 4, whether they coincide or not is decided and a coincidence/discrepancy signal V0 is outputted. |
