Modulator for lock-free braking system

The modulator includes a closing valve inserted into the pressurised-air conduit (4) between a control valve and one or more braking cylinders and which closes the supply of pressurised air to the braking cylinder (s) subsequent to a sensor signal ordering release of the brake. A relief valve is inserted into the conduit between the closing valve and the braking cylinder(s) for discharging pressurised air if the ability of a pressure producer and a counter-pressure cylinder to continue with the braking is exceeded. Sensors of the state of rotation of the vehicle emit signals for controlling at least one valve which modulates the pressure in one or more counter pressure cylinders.
