PURPOSE:To measure transfer torque accurately, by relatively rotating the shaft side and the case side of a viscous coupler at the specified high relative rotation speed. CONSTITUTION:A case 2 of a viscous coupler 1 is laterally mounted on a supporting surface 25a of a supporting frame 25. At the same time, the base end of the case 2 is engaged with a locking recess part 25b of the supporting frame 25. The supporting frame 25 is made to advance along a rail 24. The end part of a rotary shaft 3 of the coupler 1 is splined and coupled into an inserting hole 26 at the end surface of a measuring shaft S. The supporting frame 25 is fixed to the rail 24 at this position with a slide regulating means 25c. When a motor M is driven, the torque of the motor is transferred to the rotary shaft 3 by way of a speed reducer 21, a torque meter T and the measuring shaft S. The shaft 3 can be rotated relatively with respect to the case 2 in the fixed state. The relative rotating speed between the shaft 3 and the case 2 is measured with a number-of-rotation detecting means (not shown) of the motor M. The transfer torque between both parts is measured with the torque meter T. The results are displayed on a display part, e.g., on a digital printer (not shown). |
