PURPOSE:To provide a rolling mill which improves the function to control the sectional shape of a rolling material by the constitution consisting in dividing intermediate rolls in the axial line direction to form plural divided rolls and making the respective divided rolls respectively independently movable into and out of the spacings between work rolls and backup rolls. CONSTITUTION:A rolling mill is provided with work rolls 1, 2, backup rolls 3, 4 and intermediate rolls 6, 7 disposed therebetween, etc. and rolls a rolling material S between the rolls 1 and 2. The rolls 6, 7 of the above-mentioned rolling mill are divided respectively in the axial line direction to form plural divided rolls 6a..., 7a...; further the rolls 6a, 7a are made movable into and out of the spacings between the rolls 1, 2 and the rolls 3, 4 by driving of fluid pressure cylinders 8. Roll benders 5 are provided to the shaft part of the rolls 1, 2 according to need. The number of said rolls 6a..., 7a... to be inserted between the rolls 1, 2 and the rolls 3, 4 is adjusted in accordance with the width of the material S by which the roll profile of the rolls 1, 2 is controlled to a desired state. |
