PURPOSE:To prevent the S/N deterioration of a frequency inverted signal at the time of an FM transmission by emphasizing a low band in which the level of a signal component is low, and transmitting it at the time of the FM transmission. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is frequency-inverted by a frequency invertor 2 and further, corrected into a frequency band characteristic in which the low band is emphasized by a characteristic compensating encoder 3. A sound signal, as it has such a corrected characteristic, is supplied to a frequency modulator 4 for a TV sound transmission, and supplied of an FM demodulator 7 for a TV sound transmission through an RF signal transmission line 5. The FM demodulated signal is returned to the former characteristic by the characteristic compensating encoder 8, and further, frequency inverted by the frequency invertor 9, and the former sound signal is regenerated and outputted. Thus, by emphasizing and transmitting the low band in which the level of the signal component is low at the time of the FM transmission, the FM transmission through the frequency inverted signal with less S/N deterioration becomes possible.
