PURPOSE:To accurately and precisely control even at the time of controlling a high speed by counting the number of remaining moving tracks in order, selecting the speed command value corresponding to this counted value by a control means, and controlling the speed of an access motor by this speed command value. CONSTITUTION:In the case of executing the speed control of a DC motor 7 by using the speed command value corresponding to the number (n) of remaining moving tracks at the time when moving a head to the track at aiming position from the track at current position, the movement of the head is counted on each two tracks when the value of the number (n) of the remaining moving tracks is larger than the preset value M and on the other hand, it is counted on each one track movement when (n) is smaller than M or equal to. The number of moving tracks is therefore counted even at the time when the DC motor 7 is driven at high speed and the time to spare is caused in the processing of muCPU 1 for calculating the number (n) of the remaining moving tracks. A sufficient high speed control can thus be executed. |
