PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization, to reduce cost and space and to use a titled UNIT as portable by permitting a battery charger not to directly operate a heavy load. CONSTITUTION:A battery 4 which can supply a large capacity of electric power in a short time is burdened with respect to a heavy-load driving part which becomes a maximum load at the time of operation, and the battery charger 3 is burdened with respect to the other constant and comparatively less loads. When a facsimile 2 is not operated, the battery 4 which has consumed large current in a short time is fully charged by the battery charger 3 at the time of non-operation. The battery charger 3 can be set to considerably smaller than a facsimile source at low cost. Furthermore, the battery charger 3 can be provided outside the facsimile 2 and the setting space of the facsimile 2 comes to be reduced. If the battery charger 3 is removed, the facsimile 2 can be used as a portable facsimile.
