METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHEMICALLY PLATING INNER METAL VESSEL FOR VACUUM BOTTLE

PURPOSE:To chemically plate the surfaces of inner metal vessels for vacuum bottles in a simple and efficient manner in a high yield by mixing a soln. contg. metal ions with a reducing soln. in the air and by allowing the mixed soln. to flow down to the surfaces of the vessels supported horizontally and rotated on their axes. CONSTITUTION:Inner metal vessels for vacuum bottles are horizontally supported by supporting means 10 each consisting of a mouth receiving part 11 and a bottom receiving part 12 fitted to a chain conveyor 22. The conveyor 22 is driven with the motor 23 of a conveying means 20 to vertically convey the supported vessels in line from the lower part. At the same time, the motor 33 of a driving means 30 is driven to rotate the horizontally supported vessels on their horizontal axes through sprockets 18. A soln. contg. ions of a metal such as Ag or Cu fed from a vessel 41 and a reducing soln. fed from a vessel 51 are sprayed from nozzles 42, 52 and mixed in the air. This mixed plating soln. is allowed to flow down to the surfaces of the inner metal vessels during conveying to chemically plate the surfaces of the vessels.
