PURPOSE:To form a uniform coating film by providing an absorbancy sensor sensing the absorbancy of a dip coat liquid in a dip bath and controlling the concentration of the dip coat liquid based on a sensing signal of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:The dip bath 2 with the tip coat liquid 1 put therein, the absorbancy sensor 3 sensing the absorbancy of the dip coat liquid 1 in the dip bath 2, and a controller 4 controlling the concentration of the dip coat liquid 1 based on a sensing signal of the sensor 3 are provided. A fluoride group lubricant solution used to form the dip coat liquid such as a liquid protection film of a magnetic disk has the light absorption varying nearly proportional to the concentration at a specific wavelength. Thus, the concentration of the dip coat liquid in the dip bath is controlled with high accuracy continuously in on-line. Thus, the uniform coating film is formed to an object.
