摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain monitors with high spatial resolution at constant wire intervals by arranging the monitors at a constant angle to a plane perpendicular to the traveling direction of charged particles. CONSTITUTION:An insulating frame 1 is installed at the constant angle theta to the plane perpendicular to the traveling direction 5 of charged particles. Many wire sensors 2 are extended on the insulating frame 1. Then a charged particle group which is incident as shown by an arrow 5 strikes a wire sensor 2 arranged on the plane slanting by the angle theta to the plane perpendicular to the traveling direction and the number of the particles is measured. At this time, intervals of wire sensors 2 viewed from the traveling charged particle group are costheta times as large as when the wire sensors 2 are installed on the plane perpendicular to the traveling direction of the charged particles. Consequently, the spatial resolution of monitors in the slanting direction is increased by 1/costheta times.
