PURPOSE:To easily detect the same errors which are easily caused with input of a series of character codes by comparing the contents of an input buffer of a present time point with the contents of an errorinput character string buffer for each input of a character and actuating a buzzer when the coincidence is obtained from said comparison. CONSTITUTION:A control microcomputer 2 sends an input cancel control code to a host computer 6 and informs the computer 6 that the character data supplied last is wrong and canceled. At the same time, the computer 2 stores the present contents stored in an input buffer into a misinput character buffer 3. Thus an operator supplies the correct character data in place of the canceled one via the keys of a keyboard 1. The computer 2 compares the contents of an input buffer 4 of a present time point with those of the buffer 3 for each input of a character in terms of the latest number of characters received previously. When the coincidence is obtained from this comparison, a buzzer 10 is actuated via an output port 9.
