PURPOSE:To obtain lightweight rock wool needed further no compression and heating for curing adhesives and difficultly deformed by external force, by spraying small amt. of the adhesives before cooling fiber and curing the adhesives by heat retained in the fiber. CONSTITUTION:In converting high temp. inorg. melt into the fiber by action of centrifugal force or air flow, small amt. of the adhesives is sprayed on the fiber before cooling. By heat retained in the fiber, the adhesives is cured without further compressing or heating and/or solvent is removed, and the fiber is converted to bulk or mat-like material in which the fiber adhere mutually and partially.
