<p>PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the output of an internal combustion engine by switching the constant output set value of a generator output controller in response to passenger or freight train to be towed. CONSTITUTION:The output of an internal combustion engine 1 is supplied to a main generator 2, a generator for a passenger train power source and various auxiliary machines. An exciter 3 for the generator is controlled by an output controller 4. The controller 4 is composed of a constant output control unit 5, a constant voltage control unit 6, a constant current control unit 7, a low priority selector 8 and an output transistor 9. The unit 5 has a constant output setter 12 used for towing a passenger train, and a constant output setter 13 used for towing a freight train, and these setters are switched by a passenger/ freight train switching command 14. Thus, the output of the engine can be effectively used even at the time of towing the freight train.</p> |
