The seat (1) of a wheel-chair can be unlocked via an actuation lever (6), adjustable and lockable again in various positions. For this, the actuation lever (6) is rigidly connected to an axle (5) which is in turn rigidly connected to an intermediate lever (7). The lever (7) is in hinged connection to a coupling rod (9) which can be fixed in various positions relative to a locking arm (15). For this purpose, recesses (20, 21), in which hinged parts of the coupling rod (9) can engage, are provided in the sides of the locking arm (15) at different heights. The locking arm (15) itself can be pivoted to a restricted extent about an axle (16) counter to the effect of a spring (19), so that the seat (1) is automatically locked again after each adjustment. <IMAGE>
