The solution according to the invention is to provide a careful discharge conveyance of the filled bags and sufficient cooling zone. The discharge-conveyor band (9) is designed for receiving at least three bags. Moreover, the receiving plate (6), preceding the discharge-conveyor band (9) and lying in the vertical projection of the filling connection (2), can be raised above the level of the upper strand of the discharge-conveyor band (9). The pair of slides (4) having pairs of grippers (5) is designed so that, after the closing seam has been made, the bag is also held and guided by two pairs of grippers for transfer into a cooling device (14), so that the closing seam initially remains non-loaded.
