PURPOSE: To provide an improved brush by including a normally closed valve normally blocking waterflow through the brush and a valve operation means which opens a valve means when a brush part is pressed against a surface to be washed. CONSTITUTION: When bristles are brought into contact with a surface to be washed, a handle part 12 and a barrel part 14 rotate about a pivot pin 44 in an aligned state, pressing the valve contact end 48 of a valve operating rod 46 against a flutter valve 28. Such a contact isolates the flutter valve 28 from a valve seat 26, and water is circulated through a conduit 20, a valve chamber 24, a nozzle hole 34, a liquid conduit 32, and a nozzle 70 and directly imparted to the surface to be washed. To stop the waterflow, simply the bristles 76 are separated from the washed surface and the water pressure again presses the flutter valve 28 against the valve seat 26. Continuous flow of the water through the brush 10 energizes an operating lever 60 to the right or back along a groove 58 and the flutter valve is always opened at the valve contact end 48 to guarantee continuous waterflow. |
