A roll body for paint rollers is proposed, with a tubular basic body (2) to receive a roll covering and with a clamping sleeve (12) which is arranged within the basic body, so as to be rotatable, but axially secured, via a snap connection (13) to the basic body or to an inner tube (3). The axial penetration depth of the side part is in this arrangement dimensioned such that, during the pressing in of the side part (7, 8), the clamping sleeve (12) already inserted is positioned correctly in the snap connection (13). <IMAGE>
