Clutch disc with a low mass moment of inertia

The invention relates to the design of a clutch disc with a low mass moment of inertia. For this purpose, the friction rings are mounted on carrier plates and appropriate spacer elements are used to ensure that a free space is maintained between the insides of the spring segments in the engaged condition of the clutch, when the spring segments are compressed. On the one hand, this limits the mass moment of inertia and, on the other hand, provides the possibility of air cooling.
