PURPOSE:To accurately reproduce information even when a scanning locus is inclined from a recording track, by receiving reproducing beams of light corresponding to plural reproducing spots which draw the scanning locus in parallel with each other by plural optical detecting devices respectively. CONSTITUTION:Reproducing light beams LA31, 32, and 33 form the reproducing optical spots SPT1, 2, and 3 which draw the scanning locus in parallel with each other by performing scan in a scanning direction keeping prescribed intervals. The reproducing beams of light LA51, 52, and 53 generated in such a way are made incident on a reproducing optical detector 19, and reproduce the information based on reproducing signals S21, 22, and 23 obtained from the optical detecting devices PD1, 2 and 3. Therefore, even when the scanning locus is set at a state where it is inclined for the recording track TR, it is possible to obtain reproducing data having a sufficient signal level from either one of the reproducing light beams LA31, 32, or 33, and to reproduce recording information neither too much nor too less. |
