PURPOSE:To prevent the expansion of a body caused by internal pressure or stacking pressure, by stretching a reinforcing strip composed of a string or band between the side walls of a container or between the side wall and bottom plate thereof under tension in an endless state and winding the same so as to expose a part thereof to the outside of the wall surface or bottom plate of the container. CONSTITUTION:A polypropylene band 12 having a width of 15 mm is stretched across opposed lond side walls 11a among both long and short side walls 11a, 11b of an A-type container 11 made of corrugated cardboard as a reinforcing strip under tension in an endless state. In stretching the band 12, two through- holes 13 are provided to the side walls 11a of the container by drilling and one band 12 is stretched through said through-holes under tension in an endless state and both end parts 12a, 12a thereof are tightened by clamp jigs 14. As a result, since the side walls of the container receives uniform external load well-balanced with internal pressure, the body expansion or buckling of the container is not generated and, even if the container is made large-scaled, the function thereof can be sufficiently developed.
