PURPOSE:To make a consent unit specially used for a humidifier unnecessary and make the operation simple by providing a switch of the humidifier on the main body of an air conditioner and conducting the operation and stopping of the humidifier from the position of the switch. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 10 judges whether the position of contact of a switch 8, that is the position of a lever 9 is in 'independent operation' or in 'stopping'. This judgement is made by detecting the voltage levels at input ports a and b, and if the position of the lever 9 is at 'stopping', the port a is at 'H' level and port b is also at 'H' level. When the microcomputer 10 judges that the position is at 'stopping', it makes a humidifier 4 stop. Further, if the position is at independent operation, the port a is at 'H' and port b at 'L', and the humidifier 4 operates independently. When independent operation instruction is outputted from the microcomputer 10, a control relay 11 is ON and the humidifier operates.
