PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive detector with wide field of view by combining the configuration and the composite form of a pyroelectric element with each other. CONSTITUTION:Lead titanate ceramic powder is arranged on a sheet which is a sheet-wise extension of polyamide imide varnish in single scattering and, after the solvent of the varnish is removed, applied with a pressure and heated to obtain a composite sheet. Both surfaces of the sheet are polished and the ceramic powder is exposed on both the surfaces. The sheet is pressed again by a metal mold so as to take the configuration of a dome with a 10mmphi diameter bottom and a 15mm radius of curvature. The dome-shaped sheet thus obtained is formed with copper by sputtering to make electrodes and the outer electrode is blackened as a light receiving surface to make a pyroelectric element. The element is connected to an FET and a signal take-out resistor and the whole is accommodated in a stainless steel casing mounted with an infrared transmission window. |
