PURPOSE:To prevent the improper slide motion of a pinion and the abnormal wear of a bearing by providing a part slidable with an output shaft and another part having an inner diameter larger than said slidable part respectively in a bearing for coupling the pinion slidably to the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 1 is slidably coupled to an output shaft 2 via a bearing 3 and the output shaft 2 is supported with the bearing 5 of a pinion case 4 and the like. Also, a stopper 6 for restricting the movement of the pinon 1 and a stopper clip 7 are fixed to the output shaft 2. In the aforesaid construction, the bearing 3 comprises a part 3a slidable with the output shaft 2 and a part 3b having an inner diameter larger than the slidable part 3a. And the slidable part 3a is made to have an overlap corresponding to the width of a ring gear 9. According to the aforesaid system, even when the reaction force P of the ring gear 9 works upon the pinion 1, it is possible to maintain the smooth slide motion of the pinion 1 and prevent the abnormal wear of the bearing 3.
