PURPOSE:To reduce the number of MPU ports by connecting an ISC (idling speed control) output circuit and an EGR output circuit to the output terminal of an MPU via a selector means in the engine control device wherein ISC and EGR controls are made depending upon a drive condition. CONSTITUTION:An output signal from a throttle opening sensor 9 is inputted as H- and L-modes to a selector means 10 within a control device 2. Also, duty signals I1/I0 and E1/E0 corresponding to a load factor calculated on the basis of an engine speed and an air quantity are generated from the output port P0 of an CPU 20, and inputted to the selector means 10. When the throttle opening signal is the H-mode, the I1/I0 signal is fed as a control signal for an output circuit B, thereby giving an ISC control region and driving an ISC valve 5. On the other hand, when the I1/I0 signal is the L-mode, the E1/E0 signal is fed as a control signal for an output circuit A, thereby giving an EGR control region and driving an EGR valve 6.
