A self-closing non-return valve for vertical air-guiding ducts, through which air flows in the upwards direction, of ventilating and/or air-conditioning plants is specified which, in its closed position, ensures optimum sealing of the entire duct cross-section, with relatively little structural outlay. It consists of a horizontal supporting plate 7, which can be clamped in an airtight manner between two duct sections 1 and 2 and carries a neck-like passage flange 9 having an annularly closed sealing seat. In addition, it has a valve flap 15 which is mounted on the supporting plate 7 and/or on the passage flange 9, seated thereon, so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis arranged at the edge, and, in its closed position, is in contact with a sealing element arranged on the sealing seat of the passage flange. The sealing element consists of a lip-sealing ring 20 which is clamped at its inner boundary edge to the passage flange 9 below the sealing plane 21-21, and the plane of which assumes, in the unloaded state, a radially outwards and upwardly inclined position relative to the horizontal supporting plane of the passage flange 9 and sealing seat. The bearing shaft 13 of the valve flap 15 is provided such that it has radial movement play relative to the bearing points 12 of the supporting plate 7 and of the passage flange 9. <IMAGE>
