PURPOSE:To improve the shape and profile control effect by using the outer ring of a bearing fixed to an arbor as a rotation sleeve and changing a rotation angle of the arbor by an arbor angle adjusting device. CONSTITUTION:An arbor 10 is slantly inserted into inner rings 31, 32 of large thin-type bearings 21, 22 and the arbor 10 and the rings 31, 32 are fixed by shrinkage, etc. During rolling, outer rings 41, 42 of the bearings 21, 22 rotate by transmission of loads from a work roll or an intermediate roll. If a slant angle of the rings 31, 32 is denoted by alpha and a position of the work roll is the lower side, a crown is convex crown delta; when the arbor 10 is rotated by 180 deg., a crown amount is -delta. Therefore, a roller crown is adjusted in the range of 2delta from +delta to -delta by adjusting a circular direction of the arbor 10 by an arbor angle adjuster 70 fixed at the top of the arbor 10. |
