PURPOSE:To grill sufficiently the inside of a foodstuff to be cooked in cooking even the thick foodstuff and remove uneven grilling by a method wherein an apparatus is composed of a red heat body placed between a Bunsen burner and a grill cover and a ceramic-coated metal plate which is placed at the lower part of the burner and has notch parts at its both ends and forms the ceiling surface of a grill. CONSTITUTION:When a Bunsen burner 4 is burnt, a red heat body 5 is red heated by its flames to emit heat radiation. Hereby, a ceramic-coated metal plate 6 is heated to a temp. of 300 deg.C or more and emits far infrared rays. When the surface of a foodstuff to be cooked put on a grill 8 is grilled by the action of the far infrared rays, its inside is surely grilled and because the far infrared rays are radiated from the whole surface of the plate 6, the foodstuff is cooked without uneven grilling even if the foodstuff is put at any place of the grill 8. Since there is no unevenness in the ceiling surface of the grill, the cleaning of an apparatus is easy and its external appearance is well-formed.
