PURPOSE:To perform the reproduction of at least two kinds of optical disks with different diameters, by providing a disk rotating mechanism capable of moving in the longitudinal direction of a screw by the rotation of the screw. CONSTITUTION:When the reproduction of a large disk is performed, a spindle motor 18 locks a motor supporting plate 17 so as not to be moved for the screw 15 at the reproducing state of the large disk, and in a disk tray, the reading groove for a large diameter is set in parallel with the screws 14 and 15. When an optical head feeding motor 23 is driven at the above state, the screw 14 is rotated via gears 22 and 21, and an interval B1 is moved. At this time, when the large disk is loaded on a disk loading part, a disk clamping device clamps the large disk 32, and the spindle motor 18 is rotated, and the objective lens 16a of an optical head 16 is moved along the reading groove 29a, then, the reproduction of the large disk is performed. A middle disk is reproduced by loading the disk on the loading part similarly, and also, the reproduction of a small disk is performed in such a way that five sheets of disks can be reproduced continuously in order by rotating a tray rotating mechanism.
