PURPOSE:To obtain a culture medium, capable of improving a fermentation state thereof and excellent nutritional state and especially suitable for growing mushrooms, by blending straws sprinkled with water and fermented with a fertilizer containing poultry manure, rice bran, oil cake and urea. CONSTITUTION:The aimed culture medium obtained by blending, e.g. 100pts.wt. straws which are sprinkled with water and fermented with a fertilizer containing 5-15pts.wt. poultry manure, 3-10pts.wt. rice bran, 3-10pts.wt. oil cake and 0.1-1pt.wt. urea.
