PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of surge at slow speed running by making variable a digital filter amount used in operating the number of engine revolutions, depending upon the variation of the number of internal combustion engine revolutions. CONSTITUTION:The predetermined arithmetic process is carried out in the control unit wherein output signals from a hot-wire type air meter 3, a crank angle sensor in a distributor 15 and the like are inputted during the running of an engine. And a fuel injection valve 13 and an ignition coil 16 are controlled, according to the results of the process. In this case, the number of engine revolutions for operating a basic fuel injection amount is so obtained that a difference between the latest and previous numbers of engine revolutions are multiplied by a digital filter amount and added with the previous number of engine revolutions. The digital filter amount is so set as to be freely changeable, depending upon the variation of the number of engine revolutions.
