The present invention relates to a device for removably mounting a knurled wheel or similar component on a shaft end 7, the knurled knob 5 including a hole whose cross-section corresponds to that of the shaft end, the shaft end being tapped so as to receive a screw 8 for holding the knurled knob on the shaft end. In accordance with the invention, the cross-section of the said hole is such that it can contain the base circle of the screw head 8, the screw fastening being supplemented by a washer or tab 13 including a cutout 15 with a narrow part whose width lies between the diameter of the shank of the screw 8 and the diameter of the head of the latter, the said part ending in a wide opening part so that it can contain the base circle of the screw head, or the cutout 15 opening out at the periphery of the washer. The invention allows the knurled knob to be dismantled without withdrawing the fixing screw. <IMAGE>
