The invention relates to a slaughtering facility. The slaughtering box comprises a channel section having a general shape like a U-shaped gutter into which the animal may be placed and held therein, the section being mounted so as to pivot on a frame 15, 16 about a spindle 10 directed longitudinally towards the base of the section. The animal is restrained by inflatable pneumatic means 30. The invention applies in particular to the ritual slaughtering of animals. <IMAGE>
