PURPOSE:To prevent the appearance of rust in the peripheral portion of radiating plates which is apt to rust and to obviate damages to the titled radiator due to the leakage of a cooling medium which is caused by corrosion, by adopting a method of covering the peripheral portion of the radiating plates constituting a radiation panel with a metallic foil having natural electric potential lower than that of a radiating plate material. CONSTITUTION:In a panel type radiator, the peripheral portion of radiating plates 2a, 2b is clad with a metallic foil 7 having a natural electric potential lower than that of sheet steel used as a material for the radiating plates and bonded to said foil by a method of compression. The action of anti-corrosion can be advantageously attained by such a way that moisture or salinity permeating a coating 10 is intercepted by metallic foil 7 so as not to be brought into contact with the peripheral portion of the radiating plates 2a, 2b and that even if the contact is made, the metallic foil 7 having natural electric potential lower than that of the sheet steel is melted prior to the sheet steel, i.e., the peripheral portion of the radiating plates 2a, 2b is protected by a sacrificial anode action. Accordingly, corrosion to be developed from the uncoated seam of the peripheral portion of the radiating plates 2a, 2b due to moisture or salinity passing through the pin holes of the coating 10, or corrosion to be developed from the marginal surface of the peripheral portion can be prevented for a long period of time.
