The splint according to the invention for restraint and/or immobilisation of the lower limb 6 is characterised in that it comprises; a femoral channel 1; means 7 for immobilising the femoral channel on the thigh of the wearer; a leg channel 2; means 7 for immobilising the leg channel on the leg segment of the lower limb; on at least one side, a rigid femoral member 3 and a rigid leg member 4 which are joined together at the knee; and means 7, 10, 11 for immobilising the said members 3, 4 respectively on the femoral channel 1 and on the leg channel 2. <IMAGE>
