The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for continuously glueing veneer strips onto edges of plate-like workpieces, in which process and apparatus the veneer strips are brought up to the edges at an acute angle and, before they are laid against and pressed onto the edges, a coat of glue is applied or a preliminary existing glue coating is activated. In order to further develop such a procedure and apparatus in such a way that not only straight but also convexly and concavely curved edges of plate-like workpieces can be economically provided, in a continuous process and in one pass, with an edge which can then be dimensioned, rounded or profiled according to the particular requirements, two or more veneer strips are brought up to the respective edge at the same time and, together, are laid against and pressed onto this edge as a stack of veneer strips. <IMAGE> |
