PURPOSE:To prevent ink from being transferred on a transferring roller by stopping energizing to a thermal head at the time point when the original scanning of an image sensor unit is completed before the detection of the rear edge of a copying paper and revolving the transferring roller until the copying paper completes passing through the transferring roller. CONSTITUTION:After the rear edge of a copying paper 12 is detected by a paper sensor 75 for the detection of copying paper presence, at first, energizing to a thermal head 50 is stopped and after that, a transferring roller 59 is revolved during a constant time. At the time when the original scanning of an image sensor unit 30 is completed before the detection of the rear edge of the copying paper 12, the energizing to the thermal head 50 is stopped and until the copying paper 12 completes passing through the transferring roller 59, the transferring roller 59 is revolved. Thus, although there is not the copying paper 12, it can be prevented that the thermal head 50 is energized and ink is transferred on the transferring roller 59.
