PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture and to improve the characteristic by forming a major face and a polygonal multiple reflecting face orthogonal to the major face to an ultrasonic wave solid-state delay medium, arranging an input and output transducer to the reflecting face and fitting an auxiliary member, lapping both sides of the major face. CONSTITUTION:An input transducer 21 and output transducers 21, 22 are adhered onto a glass block 20 worked in advance to a prescribed polygonal shape and size. Auxiliary members 11-15 are fitted onto reflecting faces 4-8 by a rosin group adhesives. Then the block is sliced at a cut face 23 thinly by using a slicing machine or the like. In this case, the auxiliary member 14 is fixed tentatively to the support, cut thin and the support is removed from the auxiliary member 14 by heating at the lapping the auxiliary member 14 is formed thicker than the other auxiliary members. Since the auxiliary members 9-13 are removed by heating after the lapping, remarkable deterioration in the characteristic due to dispersion and hump is not caused.
