PURPOSE:To enhance the absorbing characteristic excellent in body fluid retentivity with the elapse of time of an absorber, by mounting at least a body fluid absorber composed of a specific wt. of a fiber material and a water-absorptive polymer and containing a sulfur-containing reducing agent in said absorbing body. CONSTITUTION:A water-absorptive polymer constituting a body fluid absorber has a characteristic absorbing a large amount of water in water to swell to form a substantially insoluble hydrogel. As the sulfur-containing reducing agent contained in the body fluid absorber, there is no special limit if a sulfur compound having reducing action is used and said sulfur-containing reducing agent is contained at a ratio of 0.05-20pts., pref., 0.1-10pts.wt. of 100pts. of the water absorbable polymer. This body fluid absorbing article is constituted by containing the aforementioned sulfur-containing reducing agent in at least one body fluid absorber consisting of 50-99wt.%, pref., 60-90wt.% of a fiber material and 50-1wt.%, pref., 40-10wt.% of the water absorbable polymer. By this constitution, the body fluid retentivity of the absorber is not lowered with the elapse of time.
