A porous spray-dried material suitable for carrying mobile ingredients in a detergent composition consists of (i) from 90 to 100% by weight of sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium carbonate in a weight ratio of from 0.1:1 to 1.5:1; and (ii) from 0 to 10% by weight of other ingredients, for example, sodium silicate, anionic and/or nonionic surfactant, polymer. The material may be used for carrying liquid nonionic surfactants in detergent compositions.
