PURPOSE:To enhance efficiency of grinding as the method of hit grinding, by rotating each drum at a high speed around the center of a wheel mounting shaft while the drum is maintained in the same attitude by an L-shaped crank supported to an attitude holding wheel, in the case of a barrel grinding machine comprising the plural drums. CONSTITUTION:Charging an abrasive material and a ground work into a drum 6 from a charging cap 6b, if drum supporting wheels 5, 5 are rotated by a driving motor 12, each drum 6 is rotated around the center of a wheel mounting shaft 4. While the second L-shaped crank 7 in the end of each drum, being supported to a drum attitude holding wheel 9, smoothly rotates the drum to be maintained in the same attitude around the center of a wheel mounting shaft, and fluidized grinding is performed at the beginning, but if a rotary speed of the drum exceeds 50rpm, the work is pressed to an internal wall surface together with the abrasive material by centrifugal force of the rotation around the center of the wheel mounting shaft, and hitting force is generated, thus obtaining a grinding effect about 5-10 times that of the fluidized grinding. In such way, a time for grinding can be substantially reduced. |
