The invention relates to an arrangement for protecting the occupants of an automotive vehicle from injury in the event of a side-on collision. The arrangement includes transverse tubular reinforcements (10, 11) which are incorporated in the seat portions of respective vehicle seat structures and which are intended to transfer compressive-forces from a pressure-loaded side of the vehicle to the floor of the vehicle through the seats. The inventive arrangement is characterized by a tension-force transferring steel wire (20) which transfers load from the tubular reinforcements (10) in the seats to the floor of the vehicle. |
