PURPOSE:To improve the electrostatic chargeability of a sensitive body, to suppress reduction in the potential during repeated use and to reduce the occurrence of image defects by using specified polyether amidoimide to form the underlayer. CONSTITUTION:A sensitive body is obtd. by successively laminating an underlayer, an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer on an electrically conductive layer. The underlayer is made of polyether amidoimide (A) obtd. by bringing trimellitic acid (deriv.) and arom. diamine represented by the formula into condensation polymn. In the formula, each of R1-R4 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or the like and each of R5 and R6 is H, lower alkyl, trifluoromethyl or the like. The polymer A is dissolved or dispersed in a desired solvent optionally together with additives and the resulting soln. or dispersion liq. is applied to the electrically conductive layer and dried to form the underlayer. |
