PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform positioning surely and clamp a lengthy or large workpiece by fixing the body of a clamping device for clamping a workpiece to a machine tool on the machining table thereof with a fixed holder body and another holder body. CONSTITUTION:A clamping device has a body 26 capable of being fixed on the table of a machine tool, a fixed holder body 27 having a holding face 27a perpendicular to the upper face 36 of the body 26, a supporting body 30 having a slide face 30a slant to the upper face 36, and a holder body 29 having a slide face 29a parallel to the slide face 30a and also a holding face 29b perpendicular to the upper face 36. This clamping device is constituted with the holding faces 27a and 29b opposing each other to enable them to hold a workpiece. In addition, the upper face 36 of the body 26 is formed with female threads 32 and 33 at uniform intervals on both sides of a groove 35. And the upper face 36 is constituted in such a way that an auxiliary holding member 28 is placed together with the holding bodies 29 and 27 and supporting body 30 on itself.
