PURPOSE:To simplify the structure without necessitating an erasing head, by simultaneously easing by a leakage magnetic flux at the time of recording. CONSTITUTION:A first recording/reproducing core 1 and a second recording/ reproducing core 2 provided with a narrow width part 2a are joined through a center core 3, and a recording gap 4 and a reproducing gap 5 are formed. Subsequently, a guard band is formed by erasing both side parts of a recording track written in a flexible disk by the recording gap 4, by a leakage magnetic flux 7 which turns into the narrow width part 2a of the second recording/ reproducing core 2 from the center core 3 at the time of recording. In such way, provision of an erasing head, is made unnecessary, and the structure is simplified.
